Edgewater, Florida is an Intracoastal waterfront community located just south of New Smyrna Beach. It happens to be between two famous bodies of water, the Indian River and the famous Mosquito Lagoon. The city of Edgewater is the epitome of what you would expect to find in small town Florida. The city of Edgewater is growing leaps and bounds compared to 15 years ago. It is now be one of the principal municipalities in southeast Volusia County. Edgewater is also home to many of our outdoor enthusiasts that love to enjoy the various species of birds, fish, dolphins, manatees and other the countless other wildlife in the area. Edgewater's history spans back to the early 1800's when a Dr. John Milton Hawks founded this beautiful riverside settlement. The city is over 22 square miles with more than 150 acres of parks. There is also a scenic river walk alongside the Intracoastal Waterway that is great for jogging, bike riding or just walking to enjoy the spectacular view.
